About the role

Hoxton Park High School is a coeducational comprehensive secondary school located in south-western Sydney, with an enrolment of approximately 910 students, 82% of whom come from a language background other than English and 2.83% of students identify as having an Aboriginal background. The school community has high expectations for student achievement and is committed to excellence through quality teaching, inclusive practices and a supportive learning environment.

The school has a strong focus on developing students’ literacy and numeracy skills through targeted initiatives that support diverse learning needs. A broad and engaging curriculum provides students with opportunities to pursue academic pathways, vocational education and training (VET), school-based apprenticeships and traineeships (SBATs), and TAFE courses. VET offerings include Hospitality, Construction, Retail, and Entertainment. Gifted and talented students are supported through the Self Select class program and differentiated teaching and learning practices that challenge and extend students while catering for the diverse needs of all learners.

Hoxton Park High School maintains strong partnerships with the wider community, including business organisations and universities through its involvement in the Australian Business and Community Network (ABCN). These partnerships provide valuable opportunities to broaden students’ educational experiences and support future pathways. The school also offers a comprehensive student leadership and wellbeing program, strengthened by close connections with partner primary schools to support student engagement and successful transitions.

The school is committed to fostering a positive, inclusive and respectful learning culture through its participation in the Positive Behaviour for Success (PBS) program. This commitment is reflected in the Hoxton Honour Code, which promotes positive behaviour, personal responsibility, respect and a strong sense of belonging across the school community.
