About the role
Help Desk Technician
Location: North Carolina or Georgia (East Coast based)
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM ET, supporting our eastern properties
Pay Rate: $22-28 per hour
About the Role
We’re looking for a tech-savvy help desk technician to be the first point of contact for employees across our 90+ locations nationwide. You’ll work with our internal IT Department, handling day-to-day support yourself and escalating what needs deeper work to the right person on the team. If you like fixing problems fast, explaining things clearly, and finding ways to stop the same ticket from coming back, this is a good fit.
What You’ll Do
- Respond to employee requests by phone, chat, and email, diagnosing and resolving issues with a goal of first-call resolution
- Log and summarize requests and incidents, then escalate to internal IT when needed
- Own every ticket assigned to you through to resolution
- Provide first-line support for Active Directory, Exchange, Office 365, email gateway, and user onboarding/offboarding
- Help with provisioning, quality assurance, and deployment of hardware and other assets
- Build automation and fixes that cut resolution time on recurring issues
- Support technical projects as they come up
- Follow SOPs and work instructions, and flag it when a process or system isn’t working
- Keep communication with the IT team open and direct so issues get acknowledged and handled on time
- Protect company data in line with our security policies
What You’ll Bring
- Prior help desk experience, ideally with a growing multi-unit or multi-location company
- Hands-on Active Directory experience: creating users, managing security groups, and working with group policy
- Working knowledge of Exchange and Office 365
- Clear, concise written and verbal communication, whether you’re walking a non-technical user through a fix or documenting a ticket
- Strong time management and the ability to juggle multiple requests as priorities shift
- A calm, patient approach with frustrated users
- Sound analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Curiosity and a drive to keep learning
