Infection Prevention & QAPI Nurse

Saratoga Medical is hiring Infection Prevention & QAPI Nurses for onsite opportunities in Bemidji, Minnesota. This is a contract opportunity at a long-term care facility serving veterans, with a possible extension.

Saratoga Medical has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Infection Prevention & QAPI Nurse to manage infection prevention and quality improvement activities.

Opening:

• Infection Prevention & QAPI Nurse – 1 position

Requirements:

• Current, unrestricted Minnesota RN license

• 2+ years of long-term care nursing experience with infection prevention and/or quality improvement responsibilities

• Required: CDC/CMS Nursing Home Infection Preventionist Training certificate

• Ability to pass the Minnesota DHS background study and criminal background check

• Current CPR/BLS certification

• TB screening and immunizations

Schedule: 40 hours/week onsite, plus urgent outbreak consultations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Run the infection prevention program

• Manage surveillance, outbreak response, and Minnesota Department of Health reporting

• Conduct hand hygiene and PPE audits

• Manage vaccination programs and antibiotic stewardship

• Coordinate QAPI committee activities

• Manage quality data, Performance Improvement Projects (PIPs), and root cause analysis

• Maintain survey readiness
