Position Overview

As we continue to grow, we are seeking a skilled and client-focused Installation Technician to join our team.

The Installation Technician is responsible for configuring, installing, troubleshooting, and servicing smart home and commercial automation systems, ensuring exceptional service and functionality for our clients. This is a hands-on role that requires a professional with a passion for technology and a commitment to excellence.

This is a full-time position, typically 40+ hours per week, with fluctuation based on project volume and occasional overtime. Most work is performed Monday through Friday, with the potential for some evening and weekend work. Occasional overnight travel is possible.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and program smart home and commercial automation systems, including
  access control, security systems, cameras, speakers, TVs, and home theaters
• Diagnose and troubleshoot system malfunctions and electrical issues, performing repairs as
  needed
• Install low-voltage and electrical wiring in accordance with code and company standards
• Communicate clearly and professionally with clients on-site to explain system functionality
  and address questions
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time on each job
• Coordinate with the Project Manager and team members to ensure jobs are completed on
  schedule and to specification
• Maintain company vehicle, tools, and equipment in good working order
  Perform other duties as assigned

Experience & Qualifications

• Minimum of 2–4 years of industry experience in any or all of the following areas:
• Installation and programming of audio/visual equipment
• Installation and programming of security, camera, or smart home systems
• Installation of electrical wiring
• Diagnosing and repairing electrical problems
• High school diploma or GED required. Industry certifications (e.g., CEDIA, Control4, Savant, or
  similar) preferred but not required.

Position Requirements

• Able to lift and/or move up to 75 pounds
• Able to climb ladders and scaffolding
• Able to work in small spaces and on uneven surfaces
• Frequently required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, and stoop,
  kneel, crouch, or crawl
• Ability to use general hand and power tools; ability to distinguish colors (for wiring
  identification)
• Valid, insurable driver’s license
• Must pass a drug/alcohol screening and a criminal background check
• Reliable transportation and the ability to report directly to job sites and/or the office
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Maintains a professional appearance and demeanor consistent with company standards
