About the role
Insurance and Contracts Specialist | Central City Concern | Portland, OR
Do you like the detail work that keeps an organization steady: contracts that are clear, coverage that is sound, and risks caught before they become problems? Here, that work directly supports people rebuilding their lives.
Central City Concern (CCC) is a Portland-area nonprofit that provides housing, healthcare, recovery, and employment services to people affected by homelessness. Behind every apartment, clinic visit, and job placement is a team making sure the organization can operate responsibly and sustainably. That’s where you come in.
As our Insurance and Contracts Specialist, you’ll protect CCC’s ability to serve the community by:
- Supporting our insurance program: tracking claims, reviewing certificates of insurance, and helping keep property and liability coverage current
- Managing contracts from start to finish: drafting and reviewing routine agreements from pre-approved templates, onboarding vendors, and tracking renewals
- Administering real estate agreements: preparing leases and amendments and keeping transaction files accurate
- Spotting risk early: reviewing insurance and indemnification terms and escalating anything non-standard
You don’t need a background in nonprofits, housing, or healthcare. If you’re organized, analytical, comfortable with confidential information, and able to juggle shifting priorities with good humor, you can learn the rest. You’ll be part of a collaborative team, working with colleagues across departments as well as vendors and funders, and your work will have a visible connection to the mission.
If you want your contracts and risk management skills to serve a purpose beyond the paperwork, we’d like to hear from you.
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00am to 5:30pm
