About the role
Role Overview
TreasuryONE is looking for an Integration and Automation Developer to build, implement and support system integrations, automation scripts and reporting solutions across the business. Working to standards set by senior team members, the role keeps business systems exchanging data securely and accurately, and supports better decisions through fit-for-purpose dashboards and reports.
This is a hands-on, early-career role (roughly 1–3 years’ experience) combining integration build and configuration, scripting, troubleshooting and reporting, with a clear focus on building technical depth and taking on more independent work over time. Exposure to middleware such as Flowgear or BI tools such as Power BI is advantageous but not essential — strong transferable experience in APIs, scripting, data handling and interface troubleshooting will also be considered.
Requirements
Education
- Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field (a Bachelor’s degree, or short courses in integration, APIs, scripting, data engineering or BI, is advantageous).
Experience & Skills (1–3 years)
- Relevant experience in systems integration, automation or scripting, including building, maintaining and supporting integrations between multiple systems.
- Working knowledge of APIs, JSON and structured data formats, with methodical troubleshooting of integration failures and data-flow issues.
- Writing automation or data-processing scripts in PowerShell, Python, SQL or similar.
- Sound grasp of data transformation, validation and reconciliation, and the ability to produce clear technical documentation and mappings.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability, with good communication across technical and non-technical stakeholders, including translating business needs into technical solutions.
Advantageous
- Flowgear or similar middleware (Dell Boomi, MuleSoft or equivalent); Power BI, ETL and data-pipeline concepts.
- Exposure to multi-system Finance and Operations environments and client-facing integrations; understanding of security and access control in system-to-system data exchange.
- Relevant Microsoft, Flowgear or data-analytics certifications.
Key Responsibilities
Integration Delivery & Platform Reliability
- Build, configure and maintain integrations between internal platforms, third-party applications and client systems using Flowgear or similar middleware, translating documented requirements into working components to patterns set by senior team members.
- Configure and support secure API-based connections and data pipelines that move data consistently and securely, escalating decisions on authentication, error handling and data exposure for review.
- Monitor integration jobs and interface performance; investigate and resolve routine incidents, escalate complex faults with clear diagnostics, and apply appropriate logging and exception handling.
- Deliver assigned integration components, enhancements and fixes to agreed timelines and quality standards, flagging delivery risks early, with changes documented and reviewed before release.
Automation & Scripting
- Develop, test and maintain scripts in PowerShell, Python, SQL or similar to automate repeatable operational and data tasks.
- Identify manual processes suited to automation and improve efficiency through well-structured, readable routines.
- Support scripts once live and contribute reusable components to shared libraries.
- Research integration, automation and analytics tools, and propose practical improvements to efficiency, system connectivity and data flow.
Reporting & Business Intelligence
- Build and maintain dashboards, reports and reporting datasets in Power BI or similar, within established data models.
- Prepare, transform and validate reporting data for completeness, consistency and usability.
- Gather reporting requirements from Finance, Operations and other stakeholders, and deliver reports tested against source data.
- Suggest improvements to existing reports, data definitions and refresh processes.
Data Quality, Documentation & Support
- Support data accuracy and integrity across connected systems, applying agreed standards for data mapping, validation and interface control.
- Keep technical documentation, mappings and support records current, and provide first-line support to users on integration and reporting queries.
- Build knowledge of the organisation’s integration landscape, participate in code reviews and knowledge-sharing, apply feedback, and work towards greater independence over time.
- Document integration logic, data mappings and technical dependencies to a standard others can pick up and use.
