About the role
Position Overview:
We’re seeking a forward-thinking Product Engineer Intern to join our R&D team focused on providing solutions to challenges in drywall manufacturing through research, prototyping, and testing. They will support current R&D projects on new product development and improved product performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the research and development of new products and technologies
- Conduct field and lab testing to evaluate product performance under real-world conditions
- Assist in data collection and analysis for structural, thermal, and environmental testing
- Document findings, test results, and design iterations for internal and regulatory use
- Participate in plant visits to observe product applications and gather feedback
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field
- Experience with lab testing equipment and safety protocols
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills
- Familiarity with CAD tools and related software is a plus
- Programming or data analysis skills (e.g., Python, Excel VBA) preferrable
