Position Summary

Thompson Pipe Group is currently looking for a General Laborer / Groundskeeper for our Palatka, FL facility.

This position is responsible for maintaining the plant grounds and assisting with general labor duties throughout the facility. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-conscious, comfortable working outdoors, and willing to assist wherever needed to help keep the facility clean, organized, and operating safely.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Maintain plant grounds, outdoor areas, walkways, and common areas.
• Perform general landscaping and groundskeeping duties, including mowing, weed removal, trimming, and debris removal.
• Pick up trash and maintain clean and orderly exterior areas.
• Assist with cleaning and general housekeeping throughout the facility and yard.
• Remove or relocate materials, debris, and other items as directed.
• Assist production, maintenance, and other departments with general labor tasks as needed.
• Use basic hand tools and groundskeeping equipment safely.
• Help maintain clear and safe walkways and work areas.
• Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements.
• Report unsafe conditions, damaged equipment, or other concerns to supervision.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous general labor, landscaping, groundskeeping, construction, or industrial experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to safely operate basic hand tools and groundskeeping equipment.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Dependable and able to work independently or as part of a team.
• Strong attention to safety and surroundings.
• Must be willing to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Physical & Work Environment

• Ability to lift and move up to 75 pounds.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, climb, push, pull, and perform repetitive physical tasks.
• Work may be performed outdoors in heat, humidity, rain, dust, and other weather conditions.
• Must be comfortable working in an industrial/manufacturing environment around noise, machinery, vehicles, and moving equipment.
• Required PPE must be worn as applicable.
