Laundry Attendant

Job Description

Job Purpose

As a Laundry Attendant, you will be responsible for washing, drying, pressing, and finishing hotel linen, uniforms, and guest laundry while maintaining Accor's quality, hygiene, and service standards. You will contribute to delivering a clean, professional, and welcoming experience for both guests and Heartists.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate laundry equipment safely and efficiently, including washers, dryers, presses, and ironing machines.

• Sort, wash, dry, fold, and finish hotel linen, towels, uniforms, and guest garments according to established procedures.

• Inspect items for stains, damage, or repair requirements and report any issues to the Laundry Supervisor.

• Handle guest laundry with care, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and timely delivery.

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry area, equipment, and storage rooms.

• Follow proper chemical handling procedures and safety guidelines at all times.

• Monitor linen quality and assist with inventory control and stock rotation.

• Support the housekeeping team by ensuring an adequate supply of clean linen and uniforms.

• Comply with Accor brand standards, hygiene regulations, and environmental sustainability practices.

• Participate in departmental training and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a laundry or housekeeping environment is an advantage.

• Basic knowledge of laundry equipment and fabric care.

• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

• Good attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Basic communication skills in English; additional languages are an advantage.
