Layout Engineer

Job Description

Responsible for designing and implementing efficient and effective layouts for manufacturing facilities, including:

• Creating detailed plans and designs for the placement of machines, product storage areas, jigs, pathways, and other facility components within a factory or production floor.
• Optimizing the flow of materials and products, improving storage utilization, minimizing waste, and ensuring the facility is safe and compliant with all relevant regulations.
• Performing onsite assessments together with Facilities and machine owners to validate layout feasibility, verify physical and infrastructure constraints, and ensure proposed layouts accurately reflect operational conditions.
• Demonstrating strong leadership and the ability to work closely with Production, Maintenance, Quality Control (QC), and Facilities teams to effectively communicate layout changes, address constraints, and ensure the smooth and successful implementation of layout modifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree (B.Eng. Hons) in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• Strong AutoCAD skills, with the ability to develop, modify, and maintain production machine layouts.
• Skilled in reading and interpreting layout drawings.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply. Relevant working experience will be an added advantage.
