Job Title: Lead Inventory Control
Department: Warehouse
Effective Date: 7/2014
Grade: 3
Reports To: Operations Manager
Working Conditions: Must be comfortable with changing temperatures within a warehouse environment.
FLSA:
Non-Exempt
Direct Reports: N/A
Position Summary:
Audits, packs, ships, reports on and tracks all parts inventory. Works closely with Customer to ensure shipping accuracy.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Essential Functions:
- Assure that accurate and efficient cycle counting is being carried out.
- Audits the counts that are coming back from the floor periodically and ensures that the return to stock is accurate.
- Completes required paperwork/reporting ensures they are on time as needed
- Assists in the organization of warehouse and improvement of operations.
- Accounts for all defective or damaged product and follows appropriate corrective actions.
Marginal Functions:
- Demonstrates continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times and streamline work processes
- Follow up with Customer as needed
- Provides backup support as needed.
- Operate all forklifts as required.
Job Specifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prefer 1-3 years prior experience operating a forklift in a high-volume environment.
- Able to follow specific instructions thoroughly and accurately and provide instructions to other associates as needed.
- Ability to understand, follow, and enforce company policies and procedures.
- Ability to reach, bend, climb and lift up to 50lbs safely as needed
- Good hand/eye coordination and motor skills
- Able to work overtime, weekends and holidays as needed due to customer demand
- Knowledge of OSHA Safety Regulations
