ALPINE RACING LIMITEDJob Description
Built on a legacy of championship-winning innovation at Enstone, we're writing the next chapter with a relentless focus to return to the front of Formula 1. If you're driven to challenge convention, solve complex problems and contribute to something bigger than yourself, this is your opportunity to shape what comes next for Alpine F1.
The Challenge:
- Lead the design and performance development of a critical Formula 1 car area, delivering innovative solutions that contribute directly to lap time.
- Take ownership of major projects from concept through to race operation, balancing performance, reliability, weight, cost and manufacturing constraints.
- Provide technical leadership to a team of engineers, driving engineering excellence and fostering a high-performance culture.
- Collaborate with Chief Engineers, Aerodynamics, Vehicle Dynamics, Production and Trackside teams to develop world-class race car solutions.
- Deliver complex design programmes at pace, ensuring components are developed, released and manufactured to demanding F1 deadlines.
- Resolve technical challenges and make critical engineering decisions under pressure in a fast-moving, highly competitive environment.
- Develop and mentor the next generation of engineering talent, building capability and succession within the Mechanical Design function.
Who we want:
We are looking to enhance our talented team with someone who has significant experience, ideally within F1 or another high-level motorsport environment, with a strong background in thermal systems and heat rejection.
You should be educated to degree level or equivalent in Engineering and bring a deep understanding of engineering first principles, with specific expertise in heat transfer, fluid systems and thermal management.
It would be ideal if you had previous CAD experience with Catia V5/3DX, but we will support with training if NX or similar is your expertise.
We need someone who is a strong technical leader: self-motivated, analytical, and a pragmatic decision-maker, capable of leading a team and delivering under pressure. You will be a clear communicator, able to align stakeholders and drive performance across a complex organisation.
We are seeking someone with a creative, innovative, and consistent approach to problem-solving, who can challenge convention and inspire others while maintaining a relentless focus on detail and delivery.
What we offer you in return:
Working for Alpine F1 Team, you will work with top professionals, directly impacting race car performance on a global stage, and enjoy our state-of-the-art facilities. We offer competitive remuneration packages, private medical healthcare, access to a free on-site gym, a subsidised restaurant and many more additional benefits. Additionally, the thrill of pioneering innovation in Formula One racing provides numerous career development opportunities in a collaborative, inclusive environment.
At Alpine F1 Team, we celebrate diversity and strive to create an inclusive environment where everyone can be their true selves. We welcome individuals from all backgrounds, ethnicities, cultures, and experiences. We are committed to leading by example in promoting diversity, inclusion, and belonging in our society.
