About the role
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Lead Product Designer based in the United States.
This is an opportunity to lead product design across connected digital platforms that help organizations train, engage, and support frontline employees. You will shape intuitive, accessible experiences for employees, managers, and administrators, balancing customer needs, business priorities, and technical constraints. Working closely with Product, Engineering, research partners, and fellow designers, you will turn complex workflows into cohesive, easy-to-use interfaces. You will guide design direction, strengthen shared design systems, and ensure high-quality experiences from early concepts through implementation. The role initially includes support for an established learning platform, with a longer-term focus on creating a more unified experience across products. This full-time, remote position suits an experienced designer who combines strategic thinking, hands-on execution, and collaborative leadership.

Lead design direction for assigned product areas, exploring alternatives and recommending solutions that align customer needs, business objectives, and technical requirements.
-
Design polished interfaces and intuitive interactions, applying strong visual hierarchy, typography, layout, and attention to detail to simplify complex learning and administrative workflows.

Apply user experience principles to customer journeys, navigation, and task flows, addressing permissions, dependencies, loading states, empty states, errors, and recovery scenarios.

Collaborate with Product and research partners to understand customer workflows, test assumptions, incorporate usability findings, and refine designs throughout the product development lifecycle.
-
Partner closely with Engineering to account for platform capabilities and integration constraints, document design behavior, resolve implementation questions, and review completed work for usability, accessibility, and visual quality.
-
Lead constructive design reviews and mentor fellow designers through practical feedback, guidance, and support.
-
Coordinate with designers across different product teams and external contractors to clarify ownership, align priorities, and maintain consistent design patterns.
-
Contribute to the longer-term convergence of multiple products into a more cohesive and consistent user experience.
-
At least 7 years of professional experience designing digital products or software experiences, including web or mobile applications with complex, multi-step user journeys.

-

-
Proven ability to guide and develop other designers through design reviews, hands-on feedback, or mentoring.
-
A portfolio link or PDF demonstrating a shipped digital product or substantial user workflow must be included with the application.
-
Strong visual design, interaction design, user experience, problem-solving, and communication skills.
-
Ability to balance user needs, business goals, and technical limitations while making clear design recommendations and collaborating across disciplines.
-
Experience with enterprise software, learning platforms, workforce tools, or products designed for manufacturing and frontline environments is preferred.
-
Familiarity with complex administrative workflows, content management, reporting, shared devices, or customer transitions between established products is an advantage.
