About the role
About AlterMe
AlterMe is building your personal health agent: a coach built on your biology that tells you exactly how to train, eat, and recover, everyday. It combines a DNA test, the AlterMe ring or wristband, and our patented personalization engine into one daily plan that adapts as your body responds. Every day you wake up knowing you’re progressing toward your health goals.
We're profitable, founder-funded, and growing fast, with 125,000+ DNA members. A $99 DNA test brings customers in, and our AI-assisted fitness advisors turn them into members of the full AlterMe system. In 2027 we're doubling the sales team and building our DTC marketing team from zero. This is one of the first seats on that team, and lifecycle is where the revenue gets made.
The Role
This is a revenue job first. Your primary goal is the sales that lifecycle generates: acquiring DNA customers and turning them into full members, recovering leads our advisors haven't closed, and winning back abandoned carts. Your secondary goal is keeping members engaged with their personal health agent, because engaged members stay longer and buy more. You'll have goals with your name on them, and we want you to beat them.
We're not looking for someone to manage a calendar and wait for briefs. We're looking for an operator who finds the biggest leak in the funnel, fixes it this week, measures the result, and moves on to the next one. You'll build the journeys, write the copy, edit the creative, pull the data, and run the tests yourself, using AI to move at a pace a traditional team can't.
If that sounds exhausting, this isn't the role. If it sounds fun, keep reading.
What the Work Looks Like
Find and fix the biggest revenue leaks. Lift booking and show rates for walkthrough calls, nurture leads between advisor calls, recover no-shows, and re-engage cold pipeline. Lift conversion without lifting CAC.
Recover ecommerce revenue. Build and optimize abandoned cart, checkout, and browse recovery flows for our entry SKUs, then push buyers toward the full system.
Build it yourself. Segmentation, triggers, journey logic, QA, and launch in Braze. You build journeys, you don't write briefs for someone else to build them.
Write copy that converts. Listen to sales calls, read customer reviews, talk to advisors, and study what our members actually say. Then write, test, and rewrite until revenue moves.
Edit creative without waiting. Update HTML email templates, swap modules, and resize or reformat assets in Figma or Canva. Our design team handles big brand work; you handle speed.
Test constantly. Run a weekly testing roadmap across subject lines, offers, timing, channels, and journey logic. Kill losers fast and scale winners.
Use AI as your default. Copy variants, customer research synthesis, HTML, analysis, QA. We expect you to get two to three times the output of a lifecycle marketer working the old way.
Unblock yourself. Missing data? Pull it. Tool not working? Work with the person who can fix it today. Don't wait for permission to solve a problem.
Own the marketing and promo calendar. Keep sales, product, and ecommerce aligned on what's shipping and when.
Keep members engaged. Once the revenue programs are humming, build the onboarding and engagement journeys that get members into their daily plan and keep them there.
Requirements
You're a Fit If
You have 3 to 7 years in lifecycle, CRM, or retention marketing at a DTC, subscription, or ecommerce business.
You can name the revenue or conversion lift you drove, by how much, and exactly what you did to get it.
You're an expert in a modern marketing automation platform. Braze is ideal; Iterable, Customer.io, Klaviyo, or similar are fine.
You're comfortable editing HTML and CSS for email and making basic design changes in Figma.
You self-serve on data. SQL is a plus; at minimum you can use AI to analyze performance.
You're a strong performance copywriter and genuinely curious about what makes people act.
Goals energize you. You like being measured, and you like winning even more.
You think like a growth hacker: you look for the unconventional lever, not just the standard playbook.
This Probably Isn't for You If
You need detailed direction before you start.
You measure success by campaigns shipped rather than results delivered.
You'd rather wait on design than open the HTML yourself.
You don't want a number with your name on it.
