Line Inspector
Responsibilities
- Maintain a safe and productive work environment
- Use shop orders to inspect joists to ensure they meet the requirements of the NMBS Quality Control Manual
- Communicate quality issues to members of the line and supervisors
- Participate in all safety related activities and continuing education as required
- Report non-conformance trends to QC supervisor as well as line supervisor
- Document quality issues
- Perform minor repairs on the line
Qualifications
Required:
- Good communication and responsiveness with a positive, forward thinking attitude
- Strong leadership skills
- Ability to weld, use an air arc and various measuring tools
- Knowledge of NMBS inspection criteria
- Know how to read shop orders and navigate the NMBS Quality Control Manual
- Ability to keep quality records in a fast paced environment
Preferred:
- Knowledge of how all areas of the production line work
- Strong leadership skills
