Maintenance Person

DLP is a wholly owned subsidiary of Communication Test Design Inc. headquartered in West Chester, PA.

DLP is currently seeking a Maintenance Person based in the West Chester, PA area. This role is responsible for building maintenance, repairs and preventative maintenance across the portfolio of industrial properties. Experience in the trades is a must along with a good attitude and a willingness to work in a fast-paced environment.

This position reports directly to the Regional Facilities Account Manager. A company van will be provided along with basic tools and a uniform.

1st Shift: 7:00AM - 4:00PM, Monday - Friday

Responsibilities:

• Handyman work with experience with the trades (carpentry, electrical, painting, plumbing, heating / cooling, ventilation, roofing).
• Inspect buildings, sites and equipment for needed repair / maintenance.
• Ability to utilize a computerized maintenance management system that can produce and track work orders, preventative maintenance and track facility assets.
• Respond to emergency maintenance requests. Troubleshoot issues to determine cause and solution.
• Maintain accurate records of work using a computer-based ticketing system.

Required Skills:

• Working knowledge of basic carpentry, electrical, appliances, plumbing, drywall, and grounds maintenance.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven ability to diagnose and repair maintenance issues.
• Turn maintenance tasks around in a timely and efficient manner.
• Ability to represent yourself in a professional manner.

Required Experience:

• 3+ years of experience with building management and/or maintenance
• Experience working with outside vendors and contractors a plus
• Commercial electrical experience preferred but not required
• Valid driver’s license – Hiring will be subject to DLP Driver Requirements
• Background Check
• EPA certificate
• OSHA 10 or 30 certificate

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Trade school degree preferred

Physical Demands & Working Conditions:

• Ability to carry and lift 50lbs
• Ability to climb ladders
