About the role
Amazon is seeking Maintenance Technician to join our Reliability, Maintenance & Engineering (RME) team at our site in Lytton, Brisbane.
As a Maintenance Technician, you’ll keep our site operating safely and efficiently by maintaining and repairing material handling equipment, automated packaging, and distribution machinery. You’ll respond to breakdowns, perform preventative maintenance, and implement long-term improvements to reduce downtime.
This role is be a NIGHT SHIFT role. working on a 4-day roster (10-hour shifts) including one weekend day.
These roles are entitled to annual leave and penalty rates where applicable.
Key job responsibilities
- Complete proactive and preventative maintenance on site equipment
- Diagnose and repair equipment faults in a live warehouse environment
- Implement long-term solutions to reduce future downtime
- Use specialised tools to maximise equipment effectiveness
- Follow and promote Health & Safety standards
- Experience with basic mechanical fault finding, equipment inspections, assisting tradespeople or technicians
- Experience with maintenance management systems
- Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety protocols
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Trade-related certificate (e.g. Certificate in Engineering, Electrotechnology, Industrial Skills etc.) or partially completed trade qualification
- Safety credentials (such as: White Card, Forklift License etc.)

- 1-3+ years of Hands-on experience in technical maintenance within manufacturing, logistics, or industrial environments- Experience with basic mechanical fault finding, equipment inspections, assisting tradespeople or technicians
- Experience with maintenance management systems
- Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety protocols
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
