MAMMOGRAPHY TECH- 36HRS/WK

Mammography Technologist performs screening and diagnostic patient examinations with mammography equipment according to established procedures. Demonstrates comprehensive understanding of Mammographic technology. Maintains work area in an efficient organized state, following all safety and confidentiality guidelines. Maintains high professional standard of conduct and patient care, while exemplifying and promoting Augusta Health values.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Graduate of an AMA approved program in Radiologic Technology
• Must be registered in radiology by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists with documented Continuing Education to maintain registration/certification.
• Possess the willingness to complete Mammography training upon hire.
• Must pass Mammography registry exam within 12 months of hire.
• CPR certified or obtained within 30 days of hire
• One or more years of experience in the field of Radiology

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher
• Completed an accredited Mammography program.
• Prior Mammography experience

• Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives without supervision.
• Ability to meet consistent and punctual attendance.
• Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to interact with colleagues, supervisors and customers face to face.
• Skill to use a personal computer and various software packages.
• Ability to provide proper care based on patient age or physical/mental status.
