What’s the job?

The successful candidate will be a key member of the Manufacturing team with responsibility for planning, optimising and supervising manufacturing processes leading to improved operational efficiency. Key responsibilities will include:

• Developing, evaluating, improving and documenting manufacturing processes
• Analysing manufacturing processes continually for quality improvement and cost reduction opportunities and leading projects to achieve these.
• Working as part of the new product introduction team taking particular responsibility for layout, specifying of ancillary equipment, trialling, training of Operators, Chargehands and Operation Team Leads.
• Working with equipment vendors to resolve equipment issues
• Leading problem solving teams to resolve production and quality problems
• Co-ordinating work with toolroom, engineering and outside vendors as required
• Knowladge in plastics

Who we’re looking for?

• Have a relevant engineering or science degree
• lean manufacturing and quality planning tools
• Have excellent analytical and problem solving skills
• Be able to handle multiple projects and prioritise his/her own work
• MRP experience would be a distinct advantage.
• Be enthusiastic and results orientated with good team working skills
