Sensei Lāna’i, A Four Seasons Resort offers a luxurious adults-only wellness enclave on the secluded Hawaiian island of Lāna‘i. MASSAGE THERAPIST- SPECIALTY AQUATIC BODYWORK

The Massage Therapist - Specialty Aquatic Bodywork provides exceptional, individualized bodywork and wellness experiences that support relaxation, rejuvenation, and holistic well-being for resort guests according to established protocols ensuring all guests experience the highest level of consistent service. Guide our guests as they float in the warm waters of our outdoor hale pools through a series of intuitive stretches, combining elements of massage, joint mobilization, and shiatsu to provide a gentle and weightless experience for our guests. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:     

• Provide exceptional massage, bodywork, and aquatic wellness treatments in accordance with established spa protocols, wellness standards, and guest preferences. 

• Deliver intuitive floating bodywork experiences that incorporate stretching, joint mobilization, massage, and shiatsu techniques within the wellness hale pools. 

• Customize treatments to meet individual guest needs while ensuring a consistent, personalized, and restorative wellness experience. 

• Set up, operate, clean, and sanitize treatment rooms, wellness areas, pools, equipment, and supplies to maintain a safe, hygienic, and service-ready environment. 

• Educate guests on wellness recommendations, treatment benefits, products, and service enhancements that support their overall well-being. 

• Assist with the setup, breakdown, organization, and reset of treatment spaces to ensure seamless daily operations. 

• Maintain a thorough understanding of treatment offerings, safety protocols, contraindications, and guest care standards. 

• Prepare and maintain wellness hales, including thermal experiences, amenities, lighting, aromatherapy, and wellness equipment to ensure service readiness. 
• Uphold all Four Seasons service, safety, sanitation, and wellness standards while delivering exceptional guest care.

WHAT TO BRING 

• Successful candidate must possess legal work authorization in United States legal work authorization in United States 

• The hospitality business functions seven (7) days a week, twenty-four (24) hours a day and scheduled days and times may vary based on need. Holidays and weekends availability is required. 

• Required by the Hawaii State Department of Health to obtain a Tuberculous (TB) clearance card   

• Hawaii Licensed Massage Therapist, Holistic Health Practitioner, required 

• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 60 lbs, and push/pull as needed during shifts  

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a luxury hotel, resort, or spa environment 

• Expertise intuitive stretches, combining elements of massage, joint mobilization, and shiatsu. Must have the ability to perform deep tissue/sport massage, Swedish massage and Lomi-Lomi massage, and addition massage treatments. Must be able to participate in all training offered by the spa and provide all treatments on the spa menu of services once training has been provided. Must have the ability to listen and understand guest needs, respect guest privacy, create an exceptional, customized and professional experience to our guests. Expertise in massage therapy, anatomy, physiology, contraindications, sanitation standards, draping, guest safety, and luxury spa service delivery, with demonstrated proficiency in modalities including Swedish, Deep Tissue, Sports Massage, Lomi Lomi, Reflexology, Prenatal Massage, and other specialty treatments.
