Mortgage Loan Officer Assistant

About the Role
We’re looking for an organized, detail-oriented Loan Officer Assistant to support a Senior Mortgage Loan Officer who handles both retail and wholesale (broker) loans. You’ll keep files moving from application to closing and be a key point of contact for borrowers, brokers, and the bank’s processing team.
Responsibilities
- Input loan information into Calyx Point accurately and efficiently
- Gather required loan documents from borrowers and loan brokers, and review them for completeness before submission
- Follow up on loan conditions with brokers, borrowers, and the bank’s loan processors and closing team
- Track each loan’s status and key dates (lock expirations, contingencies, closing dates) and keep the pipeline report up to date
- Send regular status updates to borrowers, brokers, and loan officer
- Help onboard and support wholesale brokers with submissions and condition clearing
- Protect borrower personal information and follow bank compliance policies (TRID, RESPA, ECOA, and privacy rules)
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of loan processing experience
- Efficient with Calyx Point
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Very organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple files and deadlines at once
- Working knowledge of conventional and non-QM loan documentation
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Outlook
Preferred
- Bilingual in Chinese and English
- Experience with non-QM
- Experience in a wholesale or broker environment
- Holder of NMLS license preferred, but not required
