About the role
Responsible for performing MRI exams using proper technique and safety measures. Operates equipment, applies principals of magnetic safety for patients, public and self, evaluates imaging for technical quality, exercises professional judgment in the performance of procedures. Recognizes patient conditions requiring immediate action and initiates life support measures. Aids in the orientation and education of department and hospital staff. Participates in performance improvement activities to assure highest standards of care.
Qualifications
Education: Graduate of accredited Radiologic Technology program, required
License: American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT)(MR), required
Experience: at least 1 year experience as a Registered MRI Technologist in a Clinical setting
Completion of a MRI safety program
