Nutrition Program Coordinator

Description

Eastern Area Agency on Aging is seeking a dynamic and compassionate Program Coordinator to join our team and lead our Home Delivered Meals & Community Café programs in Southern Penobscot County. This full-time, 40-hour-per-week position offers a fulfilling opportunity to serve older adults throughout the region.

As the Program Coordinator, you will:

• Help determine program eligibility and connect clients to essential services.
• Maintain accurate electronic records and conduct client assessments.
• Coordinate meal deliveries and design efficient delivery routes.
• Supervise and inspire volunteers who share your commitment to community service.

This position will be based in Brewer at the Durgin Center with occasional travel in the coverage area to complete home assessments and meal delivery. Working hours are 7:30 am to 4 pm, Monday through Friday.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and computer skills are essential.
• Knowledge of programs and services for older adults is a plus.
• Previous experience working with or supervising volunteers is preferred.
• The role involves regularly walking, bending, stooping, reaching, lifting and moving up to 35 lbs.
• Must have a valid driver’s license, proof of vehicle insurance, and ability to travel for job-related requirements.
