Ocean Manager

Job Description

To strengthen our team in Kloten, Zuerich or in Morbio Inferiore, Ticino we are looking for a motivated and experienced Manager in the Seafreight sector. If you are passionate about international logistics, enjoy taking responsibility, and are eager to grow in a dynamic environment, then you are the right person for us!

Major Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain and develop a positive relationship with assigned accounts through pro-active communication and providing timely and accurate information
• Create and maintain an effective department organization
• Prepare, execute, monitor and update at regular intervals the business plan for the department
• Be responsible for compliance and quality issues for the ocean product
• Ensure that productivity and profitability goals for ocean department are met
• Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors
• Proactively communicate with the team to ensure continuous awareness and understanding of policies and regulations
• Be open to implementing new system changes and enhancements into your department

 

Qualifications

 

• 5+ years of leadership experience in the Ocean Freight department of a freight forwarder
• Ability to define, develop and document business processes and procedures
• Effective interpersonal skills. Ability to relate to customers and employees at all levels.
• Professional oral and written communication skills in English and native language
• Native speaker skills or fluency in German is a must
