Open Roads Designer
Job Type: Full-time Work Arrangement: Hybrid Location: Canton or Columbus Ohio
Start your transportation engineering career designing the roads people drive every day.
Are you a Roadway Designer with OpenRoads experience? If so, we have a spot for you on our team of licensed engineers. GAI Consultants' Transportation Engineering Division is hiring a Roadway Designer to work on our current and future projects.
What You'll Do
- Design roadways using AutoCAD, MicroStation and OpenRoads Designer
- Perform calculations for engineering design reports and sketches
- Read and interpret construction plans and documents
- Collect data and help with field investigations and lab testing
- Help prepare engineering deliverables
- Support construction monitoring and bridge safety inspections
- Manage your own tasks to meet deadlines and stay within project scope
What You Bring
- B.S. in Engineering or a related technical degree
- 4+ years of experience (recent graduates are encouraged to apply)
- Familiarity with AutoCAD and MicroStation (OpenRoads Designer experience preferred)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and a team-first mindset
- Commitment to professional and ethical standards
