What you’ll do:
- Review hospital medical records for both medical and surgical Observation patients and properly assign relevant ICD-10-CM diagnoses according to Official Coding Guidelines in addition to CPT surgical codes as appropriate. Surgical specialties include but are not limited to: Orthopedic, Spinal, General Surgery, Urology, Plastics, GYN. Extensive knowledge of disease pathology is required for this position.
- Meet or exceed high quality and productivity standards, to provide exceptional coding services to our clients
- Communicate and collaborate with outpatient coders and managers to address the dynamic needs of our clients
- Keep active coding certifications and complete continuing education to maintain expertise
What you’ll need:
- Current CCS, RHIA, RHIT through AHIMA or CPC through AAPC coding credentials are required
- 3 or more years of relevant facility coding experience
- Access to reliable high-speed internet and workstation.
- Epic experience is a plus
- Candidates must reside within the United States
