Overhead Crane Operator – Structural Steel
Location: Richmond, VA
Shift: 2nd Shift
Job Type: Full-Time
Pay Rate: Starting at $22.00/hr, with higher pay depending on experience, plus a $3.00/hr shift differential.
Job Overview
We are seeking a dependable Material Handler to support structural steel loading and yard operations. This hands-on role involves moving steel, handling trailers, and operating overhead cranes and Pettibone equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Operate overhead cranes to load and move structural steel.
- Use Pettibone equipment to transport steel around the yard.
- Jockey trailers around the yard and unload incoming trailers.
- Assist with outdoor material handling and daily shop operations.
- Maintain reliable attendance and follow workplace safety procedures.
Requirements:
- Experience operating overhead cranes and handling materials.
- Experience loading structural steel with an overhead crane is required.
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic.
- Willingness to learn additional tasks; training may be available to qualified candidates.
