The Role and the Department
The successful candidate will join a talented and motivated team of professional services staff based in the Department of Biosciences, which is located at the top of the Mountjoy site and is surrounded by ancient woodland with far-reaching views of the Cathedral and beyond. The Department’s research and teaching addresses fundamentally important questions facing humankind, from food security to sustainability in industrial processes, mechanisms of antimicrobial resistance and the impact of climate change on life on earth. Our students develop a wide range of analytical and practical skills that prepare them to meet these challenges.
The Department’s strategic objectives put Equality Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) at the heart of everything that we do. We are committed to EDI and actively develop our policies and procedures to ensure that everyone within our community is treated fairly and is provided with the same opportunities. This applies to our everyday working in teaching, research and administration. The Department is also proud to hold the Athena Swan Silver award.
