It joins Gary Middle College and GEO Next Generation Academy-Indianapolis in delivering a high-quality learning experience to parents and students in Indiana. 21st Century Charter School is a tuition-free, public charter school that serves students in grades K-12. Our dedicated faculty are committed to providing an outstanding education for students each day as they transition from elementary school to middle school to high school and COLLEGE. Through our partnership with local colleges and universities, our students will be able to take dual credit courses on the college campus to earn college and career credits at no cost to the student. Our curriculum and our teaching methods are designed using Core Knowledge, Teach Like a Champion and blended learning model.

10-month position.

ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS: A Physical Education teacher is required to perform the following duties:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive physical education program for students
• Teach students the importance of physical fitness and healthy living
• Plan and lead physical education classes that are engaging and challenging for students
• Assess student progress and provide feedback to students and parents
• Collaborate with other teachers and staff to integrate physical education into the overall curriculum
• Maintain a safe and clean environment for physical education classes
• Stay up-to-date with the latest research and trends in physical education

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Education or related field
• State teaching certification in Physical Education
• Experience teaching physical education to students of all ages
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with other teachers and staff
• Passion for promoting physical fitness and healthy living
• Knowledge of the latest research and trends in physical education
