This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the design and delivery of a world-scale chemical manufacturing facility, supporting piping engineering activities across all phases of project execution.
Based in Singapore, you will support the delivery of piping engineering work within a multidisciplinary project team, ensuring safe, efficient, and cost-effective design solutions while contributing to the successful execution of a significant capital project.
You must hold (or be eligible to obtain) legal working rights in Singapore. Singapore Citizens, Permanent Residents and suitably qualified professionals requiring Employment Pass sponsorship are encouraged to apply.
Reporting to the Piping Discipline Manager or Lead/Senior Piping Engineer, you will support the execution of piping engineering activities throughout the EPCM project lifecycle, including concept studies, FEED, detailed design, procurement support, construction, commissioning, and start-up.
Key responsibilities include:
- Performing piping engineering calculations, analyses, and design activities for chemical and process plant facilities
- Assisting in the preparation of piping specifications, material specifications, engineering standards, and design criteria
- Preparing and checking piping deliverables including line lists, material take-offs, piping layouts, isometrics, and engineering calculations
- Ensuring engineering work complies with client specifications, project requirements, applicable codes, standards, and regulatory requirements
- Coordinating with process, mechanical, civil, structural, electrical, and instrumentation disciplines to support integrated engineering solutions
- Supporting piping material selection, corrosion reviews, and constructability assessments
- Assisting in piping flexibility assessments, stress analysis activities, equipment nozzle load evaluations, and support design reviews
- Participating in model reviews, HAZOPs, risk assessments, and value engineering workshops
- Supporting procurement activities through technical evaluations and vendor document reviews
- Providing engineering support during construction, commissioning, and start-up activities
- Identifying technical issues and contributing to practical engineering solutions
- Supporting quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives within the piping discipline
You will contribute to Wood's commitment to engineering excellence, safety, quality, and client satisfaction while gaining exposure to a major chemical plant development project.
Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline from a recognised institution, you will have experience delivering piping engineering solutions within the chemical, petrochemical, refining, LNG, pharmaceuticals, or process industries.
In addition, you will:
