PLACEMENT STUDENT – Product Manager- 12 months
We are looking for an enthusiastic placement student to join our team, specializing in Product Lifecycle Management for our Alternator Business in Peterborough. During your 12-month placement with us, you will learn how a major global organisation operates, gaining the hands-on tools and exposure you need to launch a successful career in the industry.
This role is available to candidates who qualify for a placement year and will commence Summer of 2027
In this role, you will make an impact by:
Supporting the Product Management Team in developing product strategies and roadmaps (aligning the product portfolio with market, customer, and legislative requirements).
Supporting and leading change implementation programs to introduce new features to our product portfolio.
Collaborating with and leading cross-functional teams to optimize business processes within the Alternator unit and the broader Cummins business.
Actively participating in the communication of product strategies and their business impacts.
Engaging in Cummins community support initiatives, including local school and charitable projects.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills in team settings.
A proactive mindset with the drive to collaborate and deliver tasks effectively.
A foundational understanding of core engineering principles.
An inquiring mind and an eagerness to learn.
