About the role
Build Something Bigger — And Change Lives, Including Your Own. In 1935, Louise Whitbeck Fraser opened a school in her home for people with disabilities — defying social expectations and choosing compassion over convention. She believed everyone deserves the chance to reach their potential and thrive. Today, that same bold spirit is alive in every Fraser service. We’re still building something bigger — a more inclusive, connected world where everyone belongs. At Fraser, you’ll find more than a job. You’ll find purpose. You’ll find growth. And you’ll find a place where your work changes lives — including your own.
Fraser is a highly reputable CCBHC community mental health clinic specializing in children’s developmental, behavioral and mental health in the Twin Cities metropolis. Fraser staff strive to make a meaningful and lasting difference for individuals and families living with diverse intellectual, emotional, or physical needs, by providing a lifetime of quality healthcare, housing, education, employment, and support services. Fraser offers three full-time, one-year postdoctoral fellowship positions in assessment and treatment with children, adolescents, and adults with autism spectrum disorder. We are actively recruiting for the 2027-2028 training year. Join our warm, collaborative, and welcoming team of postdoctoral fellows, doctoral interns, practicum students and a large group of clinical, counseling, and school psychologists in a thriving city!
Fraser's Post-Doctoral Fellowship training emphasizes trauma informed, psychological, developmental, and neuropsychological evaluations and outpatient intervention for infants, children, adolescents and young adults with autism and other neurodevelopmental disabilities and mental and behavioral health disorders. Fellows with a background and interest in FASD, complex medical cases or adult autism assessment may also have opportunities to conduct these evaluations. The primary goal of the postdoctoral fellowship is to prepare residents to assume advanced practice positions with specialized skills in trauma-informed assessment and intervention supporting children with autism and behavioral and mental health concerns. Fellows also receive specialized training in supervisory skill development and practice. Fellows provide tiered supervision of intern group supervision with a psychologist and receive an additional 45 minutes of group provision of supervision. Research opportunities are also available and developed over the course of the training year. Monthly didactics are provided, reflecting the APA areas of competency and related to the populations served at Fraser.
Postdoctoral Residency candidates must have graduated from an APA-accredited clinical, counseling or school psychology program. Individuals from Ph.D. and Psy.D. programs will be considered. Candidates must have completed an APA-accredited internship prior to beginning the Postdoctoral Residency. Applicants are required to have extensive supervised experience in the areas of child clinical psychology, autism spectrum disorder, and/or clinical neuropsychology prior to beginning the Postdoctoral Residency. Because of the strong emphasis on assessment in this program, preference is also given to resident applicants who have most of their experience in supervised assessment.
The program is accredited, on contingency, through the American Psychological Association (APA). Accreditation is granted by the APA Commission on Accreditation. Find our brochure, faculty, and information on applying at:
