About the role
Position Purpose: The Product Strategist, Data & AI owns the strategy and market narrative for Beeline's AI-powered experiences and Workforce Intelligence, the intelligence layer that turns Beeline's workforce data into insight, new revenue and trusted decisions for people and AI agents. The role delivers growth through new revenue, cost optimization and portfolio expansion, with milestones and success criteria aligned to corporate strategic intents. Strategy and product marketing are combined in this role, so a single owner is accountable for both the strategy and how it is taken to market. The Product Strategist communicates the vision and strategy in a way that inspires and aligns product management, engineering, data and go-to-market partners, earning commitment through clarity, credibility and evidence.
Responsibilities:
- Define and own the strategy for AI-Powered Experience and Workforce Intelligence, including a 3 year vision and a one-year plan with measurable success criteria tied to Beeline's strategic intents.
- Curate Beeline's strategic assets and insights as data products, defining the meaning, freshness, confidence, and recommended action each one carries so it can be used consistently across experiences and AI agents.
- Decide which problems to invest in, and recommend build, buy or partner options supported by investment cases, market data, cost and schedule.
- Own pricing, packaging and monetization proposals for AI and data offerings, partnering with Finance, Sales, Marketing and the team's pricing and packaging lead.
- Run regular reviews of why we win and lose deals, how direct competitors are moving, and how leading SaaS companies are evolving in AI and data, and use the findings to shape the product's positioning and roadmap.
- Define adoption and outcome measures for AI and data products, and partner with AI platform teams so every high stakes capability keeps a human in the decision and meets trust and regulatory requirements, including the EU AI Act and other global and local regulations.
- Lead launch strategy and produce content for sales enablement, serving as a subject matter expert with key customers, prospects and partners in sales and solution design.
- Measure outcomes after release and recommend whether to continue, adjust or stop, reporting at quarterly reviews.
- Lead the AI Governance & Compliance Analyst, setting analysis priorities and guiding regulatory and compliance work, that align with the AI strategy and Beeline’s trust foundation.
- Owns at least one AI capability to build, pilot or adopt, and reports its adoption and hours saved.
- Owns the product's context pack (strategy, positioning, packaging, product facts) so every AI tool works from one consistent source.
- Builds and shares reusable skills for recurring work such as competitive briefs, win/loss synthesis and enablement drafts.
- Uses agents for continuous market and competitor monitoring, while judgment, claims and commitments remain with people.
Requirements:
- Experience in product strategy, product management, product marketing, corporate strategy or business development in B2B SaaS
- Track record of investment cases, pricing or packaging, and launches that improved revenue or retention
- Experience running win/loss and competitive analysis and translating it into strategy
- Strong financial acumen (business models, break-even, unit economics) and executive communication
- Demonstrated daily use of generative AI in strategy, research or content workflows, with working knowledge of how AI, agents and data products are built, priced and adopted
- Experience defining, launching or monetizing AI or data products, including adoption and outcome measures (for example accuracy, usage, hours saved or cost per outcome)
- Understanding of how AI agents and assistants access and act on enterprise data, and what makes data trustworthy for them (definitions, quality, freshness, governance)
- Familiarity with AI risk and regulation, such as the EU AI Act, and with designing human-in-the-loop controls
- Contingent workforce, HCM, procurement or VMS knowledge strongly preferred
Desired Competencies:
- Exceptional analytical skills: business model building, results tracking and data interpretation
- Synthesizes business, market and financial data into a clear point of view
- Translates abstract ideas into tangible outcomes and measurable milestones
- Strong negotiator and influencer who aligns product management, engineering and data partners around the strategy and roadmap
- Willing to stop or redirect work that is not delivering against its measure
- Learns quickly in a fast-moving field, and can tell real capability from hype when evaluating AI vendors, partners and internal proposals
