About the role
Production Packaging Insert Operator
The Bryan Eagle, a Lee Enterprises company, is seeking a full-time production worker for our Packaging and Inserting department. This position is responsible to help organize pre-prints, verify counts of paper, feeding flyers into inserting machine, labeling and topping bundles, bundling and shipping papers and pre-prints and stacking. Experience preferred, but not necessary. This position will use electric pallet jacks and may be trained on forklift.
Position Responsibilities
Organize pre-prints
Feed Inserting Machine
Verify counts of paper
Label and top paper bundles
Bundling and shipping papers
Pre-print stacking
Operate pallet jacks
May be trained on forklift
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Experience working in manufacturing, warehouse or production environments preferred
Ability to operate pallet jacks, will provide training
Ability to lift bundles weighing up to 30 lbs.
Ability to operate forklift preferred but not necessary
Education & Experience
High school diploma or GED
At least one year’s experience working in similar work environment preferred
Good attendance record and ability to work the required shifts
Must be at least 18 years of age
