About the role
Production Supervisor, Brill Tech, 2nd Shift
Location: Hatfield, PA | On-Site
Schedule: 2:00pm start | Availability to support overnight Brill Tech operations after shift end is required.
Clemens Food Group is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead our second-shift Brill Tech operation. You’ll oversee approximately 29 team members, including three team leads, in a department that produces cold cuts through a connected process of preparation, injection, tumbling, packaging, cooking, and chilling.
This is a floor-focused leadership role, with approximately 80% of your time spent in the operation. We’re looking for someone who treats people with respect, communicates directly, and develops team leads who can confidently manage their areas.
What You’ll Do
- Lead daily production activities, align staffing with production needs, and set clear expectations for team members and leads.
- Coordinate with first-shift leadership to ensure effective handoffs and follow through on production priorities.
- Oversee multiple processing stages, keeping product moving safely and efficiently through the department.
- Coach and empower team leads, strengthen accountability, and help prepare team members for future leadership opportunities.
- Monitor safety, labor, throughput, and line efficiency. Use results to identify gaps and drive improvements.
- Reinforce safe work practices, proper PPE, and consistent adherence to food safety and quality requirements.
- Partner with Food Safety and Quality Assurance to verify critical control point checks and required cooking and chilling controls.
- Resolve operating issues independently when possible and coordinate with Maintenance and other partners when additional support is needed.
- Maintain accurate records and use Excel to track and communicate department performance.
What You Bring
- Experience supervising teams, developing employees, and delivering operational results.
- A background in food production or experience working in a USDA-regulated environment is preferred.
- The ability to coordinate several production processes and adjust priorities as conditions change.
- Confidence using performance measures to understand problems, make decisions, and hold your team accountable.
- A collaborative approach and the ability to build strong relationships across shifts and departments.
- A leadership style grounded in respect, clear communication, and a willingness to work alongside your team.
With broad operational ownership and significant cross-functional exposure, this role is well suited for an experienced manufacturing leader who is ready for substantial responsibility and continued growth toward Superintendent, Director, or other operations leadership opportunities.
