About the role
Amazon's last mile delivery network is growing, and we need a Program Manager III to help shape what comes next. In this role, you will manage the third-party and external Delivery Service Partner (eDSP) carriers, driving expansion into new geographies and service types. You will own carrier performance end to end from delivery speed and cost per package to capacity reliability directly affecting how quickly customers receive their orders. This is an individual-contributor role where you will use data to make decisions, write clear narratives for senior leaders, and work with Customer Experience, Supply Chain, Finance, Procurement, Middle Mile, and Fulfillment Center teams to get results.
Key job responsibilities
- Own end-to-end carrier performance across delivery speed, cost per package, and capacity reliability, using Excel and QuickSight dashboards to track metrics and spot improvement opportunities.
- Drive expansion of new nodes, postcodes, and service types by building the business case, managing launch execution, and coordinating with cross-functional partners.
- Lead capacity planning for high-volume events including peak, developing ramp-up plans and contingency measures to keep the network running smoothly.
- Conduct weekly and monthly performance reviews with carriers, performing root-cause analysis and driving corrective-action plans when targets are missed.
- Write data-led program documents (business reviews, PR/FAQs) independently and present recommendations to senior leaders across Planning, Finance, and Operations.
A day in the life
You might start your morning reviewing carrier metrics on a QuickSight dashboard and preparing a status update for leadership. Mid-morning could involve a working session with the Supply Chain or Middle Mile team to align priorities for an upcoming network expansion. After lunch, you may run a performance review with a carrier partner, then shift to drafting a narrative document that frames a key decision for senior leaders. You will also build your data analysis and AI skills while solving problems alongside colleagues across multiple functions.
