The Opportunity

Build the future with us – The Earth Sciences and Environment business unit of the Montreal office is looking to welcome a Project Assistant – Vibration and Instrumentation to support a team recognized for its expertise and innovative solutions.

Our dynamic team brings together highly qualified specialists in acoustics, vibrations, geotechnical instrumentation and air quality. By joining us, you will participate in a variety of projects, collaborate with several WSP disciplines (environment, energy, transportation, infrastructure, industry, mining) and develop your skills in a stimulating and collaborative environment.

Your Impact

In this role, you will contribute directly to the success of projects by:

• Carrying out field activities: installation, configuration and attachment of monitoring instruments (hand tools, mechanical tools, anchors, levels).
• Conducting site visits and ensuring a safe and compliant installation of equipment.
• Collecting, processing and analyzing data from vibration, structural or environmental measurements.
• Validating the compliance of the results according to norms, standards and project requirements.
• Configuring communication systems (cellular, radio, networks, telemetry) and applying computer principles related to data acquisition.
• Contributing to the automation or improvement of internal tools (Python, MATLAB, VBA, etc.).
• Participating in project meetings, communicating progress, challenges and proposed solutions.
