About the role
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Promo Writer – HINDI based in India.
As a Promo Writer, you will create compelling, performance-driven video promotions for short-form drama and microdrama content. You will transform full episodes into engaging promotional stories that capture attention, spark curiosity, and encourage viewers to install the app. Working at the intersection of creative storytelling, audience psychology, and digital marketing, you will develop powerful hooks, scripts, captions, and voiceovers tailored to different advertising formats. You will collaborate closely with video editors to turn creative concepts into high-impact promotional assets. By analysing campaign performance and audience behaviour, you will continuously refine your approach and improve results. This remote contract opportunity is ideal for an experienced Hindi writer who combines strong storytelling instincts with a data-driven creative mindset.
Accountabilities:
-
Create promotional content: Develop engaging, high-performing video promos for microdramas across multiple formats and digital advertising channels.
-
Write compelling scripts: Craft attention-grabbing Hindi scripts, scroll-stopping hooks, on-screen text (supers), and voiceovers that capture audience interest within the first few seconds.
-
Identify compelling storylines: Watch complete shows and episodes to identify the strongest scenes, memorable characters, emotional moments, conflicts, twists, and reveals that can be transformed into effective promotional content.
-
Develop persuasive messaging: Translate each show's central concept and unique selling points into concise, impactful promotional narratives that generate views and drive app installations.
-
Collaborate with creative teams: Work closely with video editors to communicate creative concepts, refine scripts, and ensure the final promotional videos deliver the intended impact.
-
Monitor campaign performance: Analyse Meta advertising metrics, including click-through rate (CTR), thumbstop rate, hold rate, and install conversion, to evaluate creative effectiveness.
-
Optimize promotional strategies: Use performance data, audience behaviour, market research, and competitor analysis to identify trends and continuously improve promotional content.
-
Experiment with creative approaches: Test different storytelling techniques, hooks, messaging styles, and promotional formats to improve audience engagement and campaign results.
-
Relevant experience: 1–3 years of professional experience in promo writing, advertising copywriting, video scripting, entertainment content, or performance-driven creative production.
-
Hindi writing proficiency: Excellent Hindi writing skills, with the ability to create natural, engaging, persuasive, and audience-appropriate promotional scripts.
-

-
Promotional writing skills: Demonstrated ability to write compelling hooks, short-form video scripts, voiceovers, and on-screen promotional text that capture attention quickly.
-
Performance marketing knowledge: Understanding of digital advertising and performance-driven creative content, particularly promotional campaigns designed to generate views and app installs.
-
Analytical abilities: Familiarity with advertising metrics such as CTR, thumbstop rate, hold rate, and conversion rates, with the ability to use performance insights to improve creative output.
-
Content analysis: Ability to watch and evaluate full episodes, identify high-impact moments, and extract the most marketable elements of a story.
