El Paso Disposal, a Waste Connections company, is looking for a safety-driven Local Residential Driver to join our growing team in El Paso, Texas.

Duties & Responsibilities
• Safely operate a garbage truck on assigned residential routes to collect solid waste.
• Read route sheets and service customers assigned by the dispatcher.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, including checking fluids, tires, and safety equipment.
• Perform physically demanding work, including loading and unloading, sometimes without a helper.
• Operate hydraulic hand controls to lift and load refuse.
• Dispose of collected waste at designated facilities.
• Provide courteous, professional service to customers.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
• Valid Class A or B CDL with air brakes endorsement at minimum.
• Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in English.
• 2 years of driving experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of truck components and the ability to complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Waste industry experience is preferred but not required.
Physical & Working Conditions
• Must be able to perform strenuous physical work, including lifting, pushing, and pulling objects weighing over 50 pounds.
• Work around moving mechanical equipment while following required safety precautions.
• Work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including wet and humid conditions.
• Regular exposure to fumes, vibration, and moderate noise levels.
