SAP BRIM Functional

Accountabilities

In this role, you will contribute to SAP BRIM data analysis, migration, reporting, and governance activities, ensuring that enterprise billing and financial information remains accurate and reliable.

• Analyze and support SAP BRIM data structures and business processes across Subscription Order Management (SOM), Convergent Charging (CC), Convergent Invoicing (CI), and Contract Accounts Receivable and Payable (FI-CA).

• Support data-related activities covering customer accounts, subscriptions, billing, invoicing, payments, and receivables management.

• Identify, investigate, and help resolve data quality issues across SAP BRIM environments.

• Develop and maintain source-to-target mapping documents, data transformation rules, validation procedures, and reconciliation documentation.

• Analyze legacy system data and support its mapping to SAP BRIM target structures.

• Contribute to data migration activities, including extraction, cleansing, transformation, loading, validation, and reconciliation.

• Collaborate with migration architects and technical teams to resolve migration defects and support mock conversions, cutover planning, and production deployments.

• Support the development and validation of billing reports, revenue and invoicing analytics, customer account reports, financial reconciliation reports, operational dashboards, and KPIs.

• Respond to business reporting and data analysis requests while ensuring outputs align with operational and regulatory requirements.

• Engage with stakeholders to gather and document data and reporting requirements, analyze business processes, and identify opportunities for improved data quality and process optimization.

• Translate business requirements into functional data specifications and support workshops and requirements-gathering sessions.

• Work with SAP BRIM consultants, SAP S/4HANA teams, data architects, integration specialists, and developers to support data integration and reconciliation across connected systems.

• Develop and execute data validation scripts, test scenarios, user acceptance testing (UAT), and reconciliation tests.

• Track defects, investigate issues, validate end-to-end data flows, and verify reporting outputs.

• Maintain functional specifications, data dictionaries, governance documentation, reporting definitions, and operational procedures.

• Support enterprise data governance, compliance, audit requirements, and established data quality standards.

• Provide user support, troubleshooting assistance, and knowledge transfer to improve adoption of SAP BRIM data and reporting processes.

Requirements

The ideal candidate combines strong SAP data analysis experience with practical knowledge of enterprise billing processes, data migration, reporting, and financial reconciliation.

• 7+ years of experience in SAP data analysis, reporting, or functional support roles.

• At least 4 years of direct experience supporting SAP BRIM or related SAP billing environments.

• Proven experience with enterprise billing, invoicing, subscription management, and customer account processes.

• Strong understanding of SAP BRIM data structures and business processes, including billing and invoicing operations.

• Experience supporting data migration, data mapping, transformation, validation, and reconciliation activities.

• Solid knowledge of enterprise data management, data quality principles, reporting, analytics, and financial reconciliation.

• Practical experience with SQL, data analysis tools, SAP reporting tools, and SAP S/4HANA integrations.

• Ability to prepare functional specifications, testing documentation, and data governance materials.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy.

• Effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills, including the ability to facilitate workshops and requirements discussions.

• Strong organizational and documentation abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience with SAP Datasphere, SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), SAP BW/4HANA, or SAP Data Services (BODS).

• Familiarity with enterprise ETL platforms and reporting tools.

• Experience in utilities, telecommunications, transportation, finance, or subscription-based industries.

• Exposure to Agile or hybrid project delivery methodologies.

• Previous consulting or contractor experience in enterprise SAP environments.

Preferred certifications:

• SAP Certified Application Associate – SAP Billing and Revenue Innovation Management.

• SAP Certified Application Associate – Financial Contract Accounting (FI-CA).

• SAP S/4HANA certifications.

• Data analytics or business intelligence certifications.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline.

• An equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience may also be considered.
