Job Description
The Supply Chain Quality Manager (SCQM) is responsible for securing product quality and supplier conformity throughout Transfer of Work and industrialisation activities. The role ensures suppliers implement robust quality processes, meet qualification requirements, and comply with aerospace quality standards.
Location: Belfast
Key Responsibilities
- Drive APQP implementation across assigned suppliers.
- Review Process Flow Charts (PFC), Control Plans, PFMEA, and manufacturing quality documentation.
- Assess supplier capability and production readiness.
- Manage qualification and special-process approvals.
- Monitor supplier quality performance and product conformity.
- Lead resolution of quality risks and non-conformities.
- Support supplier audits, assessments, and quality reviews.
- Ensure compliance with customer and aerospace quality requirements.
- Coordinate corrective and preventive actions.
- Work closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Procurement, Supply Chain, and suppliers.
Qualifications
Required Experience
- Experience in Supplier Quality, Supplier Quality Management, or Supplier Conformance Management.
- Experience supporting Aerospace ToW
- Knowledge of APQP, manufacturing quality processes, and product conformity.
- Experience managing non-conformities and corrective actions.
- Experience working directly with suppliers.
- Understanding of aerospace quality requirements.
Preferred Experience
- Airbus or aerospace OEM environment.
- A220/A350 experience
- AS9100 and AS9102 knowledge.
- FAI and production-validation experience.
- Supplier-audit experience.
- Aerospace Tier 1 supplier experience.
