About the role

Lead the Future of Dentistry.

Overjet is the world-leader in dental AI. Already, thousands of dental providers and insurers rely on our platform to deliver the best possible care. Now, we’re looking for talented people to fulfill our mission: improve oral health for all.

Overjet is where builders become leaders. Everyone here loves to make new things: new products, new partnerships, new content, and a new category of AI technology. And as Overjet grows ridiculously fast, so will you.

Simply put, there’s no better place to accelerate your career. Come join us!

The Mission and the Hard Part

Overjet’s growth starts at the top of the funnel. If our Sales Development team doesn’t start enough of the right conversations with dental practices and Dental Service Organizations, there are no demos, no deals, and no revenue behind our mission to improve oral health for all. The SDR Manager decides whether that team becomes a pipeline engine or a group of talented individuals working without a system. You’ll build and lead our SDR team from our Lehi office: hiring the reps, writing the playbook, coaching the calls, and working daily with Account Executives, Marketing, Product, and Customer Success so the pipeline your team creates turns into customers. You’ll report into Sales leadership.

The hard part is that you’re building the team and the motion while carrying a quarterly number, in a company with a beat and raise culture. Your reps will pitch AI to busy, skeptical dental professionals and hear “no” all day, and keeping them sharp, motivated, and improving is on you. This role is fully in person in Lehi.

If building a team and a motion from the ground up while owning a target sounds like the fun part of the job rather than the burden, keep reading.

What You'll Own

  • The SDR team’s quarterly pipeline target: you inspect activity and conversion every week, find where the funnel is leaking, and change the plan mid-quarter instead of explaining the miss afterward.

  • The talent bar of the team: you recruit, onboard, and ramp reps, and you coach up or make hard calls on anyone who isn’t getting there.

  • The outbound playbook: target segments and key accounts, messaging, cadences, and competitive positioning, all written down, tested against data, and rewritten when it stops working.

  • The quality of coaching: you listen to calls, give specific feedback, and hold reps accountable, so individual performance visibly improves month over month.

  • The handoff to Account Executives: you make sure the meetings your team books are ones AEs want, and you run the feedback loop that makes them better.

  • The forecast and the story behind it: accurate pipeline reports and forecasts for senior management, plus the market and competitor intelligence you carry back to Product, Marketing, and Customer Success.

What Makes the Right Candidate Keep Reading

  • You’ve run or coached outbound at the top of the funnel and can show how your leadership changed your team’s results, whether you did it as a manager or as a top performer ready to step up. You’ve sold into an SMB segment, ideally in dentistry or another crowded, relationship-driven market, and you reach for the data before you decide what to change. This seat takes high agency and real intensity, plus a genuine passion for recruiting, developing, and retaining exceptional teams, because you are the person who builds the bench. You’ll be most at home if you’ve worked at a startup where nobody handed you the playbook. If you need an established process, a full roster, and a steady stream of leads to lead well, this probably isn’t the right seat. If you’d rather build all three, it might be exactly right.

    • Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred, not required. Equivalent experience is welcome.

    • Skills: Coaching and mentorship, data-driven performance management, outbound sales development, and proficiency with CRM and sales engagement tools.

    • Experience: 5+ years of sales experience, including 2+ years in an outbound top-of-funnel role and/or managing, mentoring, or coaching SDR/BDR teams, and 2+ years selling into SMB markets.
