Guardian Security Services is seeking professional Security Officers and Concierge to support a commercial property in New York City.
This is a client-facing role where officers help maintain the safety and security of the building while providing a professional presence for guests, and vendors.
The position is ideal for individuals who demonstrate sound judgment, strong communication skills, and a polished, professional demeanor appropriate for a residential environment.
Security Officers in this role play an important part in maintaining a safe, well-managed property while delivering courteous and attentive service to tenants and visitors.

Our Security Officers play an important role in maintaining safe, welcoming, and professionally managed environments for tenants, visitors, and building staff.
Security Officer and Concierge Responsibilities
Security Officers may perform a combination of the following duties depending on site needs:
- Maintain a professional and welcoming presence for residents, guests, and vendors
- Monitor building access points and maintain awareness of building activity
- Conduct routine patrols of interior and exterior areas of the building
- Monitor surveillance cameras and building security systems
- Respond to emergencies and security concerns promptly and professionally
- Maintain accurate shift logs, incident reports, and daily activity reports
- Assist with package handling and vendor deliveries when required
- Maintain control and documentation of building and concierge keys
- Identify and report suspicious activity, safety hazards, or policy violations
- Coordinate with building management and property staff to support daily operations
- Enforce building policies while maintaining a calm and professional demeanor
- Maintain clear communication during shift transitions to ensure operational continuity
Security Officer Qualifications
• Valid New York State Security Guard License
• 8-Hour Pre-Assignment Training Certificate
• 16-Hour On-the-Job Training Certificate
• Prior experience in residential security, corporate security, concierge security, or customer-facing security roles preferred
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Professional appearance and polished demeanor
• Ability to remain calm and exercise sound judgment in high-pressure situations
• Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods as required

Requirements
Security Officer Qualifications
• Valid New York State Security Guard License
• 8-Hour Pre-Assignment Training Certificate
• 16-Hour On-the-Job Training Certificate
• Prior experience in residential security, corporate security, concierge security, or customer-facing security roles preferred • Strong communication and customer service skills • Professional appearance and polished demeanor
• Ability to remain calm and exercise sound judgment in high-pressure situations
• Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods as required
Concierge Qualifications
• Minimum 1 year customer service experience
• Prior experience in residential security, corporate security, concierge security, or customer-facing security roles preferred • Strong communication and customer service skills
• Professional appearance and polished demeanor
• Ability to remain calm and exercise sound judgment in high-pressure situations
• Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods as required
• Handle package deliveries, including logging and distributing, as well as external vendor deliveries
Fire Life Safety Director Qualifications
• Valid New York State Security Guard License
• T-89 License or F-89 License
• 1 Year FLSD Experience
• Prior experience in residential security, corporate security, concierge security, or customer-facing security roles preferred • Strong communication and customer service skills • Professional appearance and polished demeanor
• Ability to remain calm and exercise sound judgment in high-pressure situations
• Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods as required
• Manning the command station as well as the lobby desk
• Making announcements
• Responding to alarms (supervisory, trouble and fire)
• Carrying out EAP and fire plans when necessary
