About the role

MSS Security is seeking an experienced Security Manager to oversee the day to day operations at a Public Housing Estate in Prahran. This role is responsible for ensuring the effective delivery of security services, leading and supporting the on-site security team and fostering strong working relationships with key stakeholders. The Site Manager will oversee all security operations within the Public Housing Estate, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of residents, visitors and staff. The role includes managing and developing a team of security officers, maintaining community standards and ensuring full compliance with relevant legislation, contractual obligations and organizational policies.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• ​Team Leadership & Supervision: Supervise and support a team of security guards, providing coaching to enhance team capability.

• Incident & Risk Management: Respond to and manage incidents, including reporting, escalation and follow-up.

• Stakeholder Engagement: Build positive relationships with residents, housing staff, local authorities and community organizations. Represent the security team in stakeholder discussions.

• Compliance & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of patrols, incidents and disciplinary actions. Ensure guards are adhering to all legal and ethical guidelines and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

What we are looking for: 

• Full Australian working rights.

• Current Victorian Security License with the control room endorsement.

• Employee Working With Children's Check (or willing to obtain).

• Willing to undergo a national police check.

• Prior experience of line management of staff in complex environments.

• Ability to resolve conflicts and risk management.

• Well-organized and initiative-taking with the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment. 

• Willing to undergo a national police clearance.
