Our credibility rests on robust monitoring, accurate data and full alignment with the carbon standards and methodologies behind every credit we issue.
The Role
We are looking for an experienced Senior Carbon Integrity Manager to lead monitoring, reporting, validation and verification (MRV), including digital MRV (dMRV), across our cookstove portfolio.
You will be the carbon lead for planning and delivering key carbon activities and milestones, and the bridge between our Carbon Integrity and Carbon Operations teams.
You will work closely with our Regional Directors in East Africa and South-East Asia, country leadership, the Senior Quality Manager and the Carbon Operations, Commercial and IT teams to ensure every validation and verification is delivered with the highest levels of quality, integrity and transparency.
What You Will Do
Monitoring, Reporting, Verification & Validation (MRV)
• Lead all MRV activities, with a strong focus on high-quality monitoring design and data collection
• Develop MRV plans for new projects that meet carbon standard requirements and our high-integrity values
• Refine and develop survey instruments with the Senior Quality Manager
• Track MRV milestones, manage risks and implement corrective actions to ensure timely, high-quality data
• Train and support country teams on monitoring, including survey instruments and stove use monitors
• Build standard MRV protocols and checklists for consistency across geographies
Forecasting & Commercial Insight
• Develop and maintain emissions reduction forecasts for the full carbon portfolio
• Keep the Commercial team informed on expected issuance volumes and timelines
Methodology
• Review and analyse new and existing methodologies relevant to our operations, ensuring their impact is fully understood
• Build relationships with standard bodies and the wider carbon community on methodology changes and best practice
• Train teams on how methodologies work in practice, including Kitchen Performance Tests (KPTs) and other monitoring protocols
New Business & Project Stand-Up
• Support proposals and investor materials with technical input, including emissions reduction estimates and methodology guidance
• Partner with the Senior Carbon Operations Manager on pilots for new technologies and regions
• Ensure carbon compliance and monitoring are built into new projects from day one
What We Are Looking For
• Deep experience in clean cooking, carbon accounting and carbon markets
• 10+ years of relevant experience in roles of increasing responsibility
• Strong MRV expertise, including monitoring design and working with carbon standards such as Gold Standard or Verra
• Proven ability to manage complex, multi-country workstreams with clear milestones and risk tracking
• Experience working on or with projects in Africa and Asia, alongside cross-functional teams
• Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical subject (Master's degree strongly preferred)
Who You Are
You bring structure to complex and changing situations, stay current on evolving standards and methodologies, and get things done through people you don't directly manage. Above all, you are committed to integrity, accuracy and real climate impact.
