As a Senior Cloud System Engineer, you will design, deploy, and maintain secure, scalable, and high-performance cloud infrastructure supporting mission-critical healthcare workloads. You will lead complex cloud migrations, modernize legacy systems, and deliver reliable infrastructure solutions across AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform. Working within a professional services environment, you will take ownership of technical project milestones and ensure implementations meet architectural, performance, and security requirements. You will leverage Infrastructure as Code (IaC), scripting, and automation to build repeatable, efficient, and resilient cloud environments. A key part of your role will be ensuring that cloud deployments comply with healthcare regulations and internal security standards while maintaining operational excellence. You will collaborate with project managers and technical teams to deliver successful client engagements, provide clear technical guidance, and facilitate seamless operational handovers. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced cloud engineering professional who enjoys solving complex infrastructure challenges and making a meaningful contribution to reliable healthcare technology services.
Accountabilities
- Lead the onboarding, design, configuration, deployment, and optimization of secure, cost-efficient, highly available cloud infrastructure across AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Drive complex cloud migration projects, transitioning mission-critical healthcare workloads from legacy environments to modern, scalable, and resilient cloud architectures.
- Own technical milestones and delivery activities for Professional Services engagements, ensuring implementations align with approved architectural designs, project timelines, performance expectations, and quality standards.
- Design, develop, and implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform and native cloud infrastructure templates to automate provisioning and establish consistent, repeatable environments.
- Build and maintain automation pipelines and scripting solutions that improve deployment efficiency, infrastructure reliability, scalability, and operational consistency.
- Troubleshoot complex cloud infrastructure issues involving networking, identity and access management, operating systems, connectivity, and cloud service configurations.
- Ensure all infrastructure deployments comply with applicable healthcare compliance frameworks, security requirements, and internal technical standards.
- Collaborate with project managers to establish realistic technical timelines, communicate project progress, identify delivery risks, and provide informed recommendations during client discussions.
- Produce comprehensive technical documentation covering infrastructure architecture, deployment procedures, configurations, troubleshooting guidance, and operational requirements.
- Facilitate smooth handovers to frontline support and managed services teams, ensuring they have the knowledge and documentation needed to maintain infrastructure effectively.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to colleagues, sharing cloud engineering best practices and supporting continuous improvement across infrastructure delivery.
- Evaluate opportunities to optimize cloud resource utilization, control infrastructure costs, improve performance, and strengthen availability and security.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of cloud deployment methodologies, infrastructure tooling, and professional services delivery practices.
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience in cloud engineering, infrastructure engineering, or advanced systems administration, with a strong foundation in supporting and maintaining production environments.
- Deep practical expertise in at least one major public cloud platform: AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform, along with the ability and willingness to architect, troubleshoot, and support solutions across all three environments.
- Advanced knowledge of core IT infrastructure, including complex networking, routing, connectivity, identity and access management, and administration of both Linux and Windows operating systems.
- Demonstrated experience designing, deploying, and maintaining secure, scalable, highly available cloud environments and managing complex infrastructure implementations.
- Proven experience leading or executing cloud migrations, particularly for critical workloads requiring careful planning, risk management, performance validation, and operational continuity.
- Strong proficiency in Infrastructure as Code tools, particularly Terraform or native cloud templates, with the ability to develop reusable and maintainable infrastructure configurations.
- Advanced scripting and automation skills using languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell, including experience building automation workflows and infrastructure deployment pipelines.
- Strong understanding of cloud security principles, infrastructure hardening, access controls, and compliance requirements relevant to healthcare or other regulated environments.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex technical problems, analyze infrastructure performance, identify root causes, and implement reliable solutions.
- Experience working in a client-facing or professional services environment, with the ability to translate technical requirements into practical infrastructure solutions.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills, including the ability to work effectively with project managers, technical teams, and clients, provide clear progress updates, and communicate realistic delivery estimates.
- Excellent documentation and organizational skills, with a commitment to technical accuracy, quality assurance, and successful operational handovers.
