Senior Collector — Restoration Experience Required
$20–$26 per hour, depending on experience
Know restoration collections? We want someone who can move difficult accounts forward.
Gurr Brothers Construction is looking for an experienced collector who understands the restoration industry and knows how to turn outstanding balances into payments.
You’ll work with customers, insurance adjusters, and our internal teams to resolve payment issues, follow up on outstanding invoices, and keep accounts moving toward resolution. We need someone who is persistent, organized, and confident having direct conversations while maintaining professionalism.
What You’ll Do
- Manage a portfolio of outstanding restoration accounts and prioritize collection efforts.
- Contact customers consistently by phone, email, and text to secure payments.
- Follow up on insurance payments and identify what is holding up collection.
- Work with project managers and accounting to resolve invoice questions, disputes, and missing documentation.
- Coordinate payment arrangements within company guidelines and follow through on commitments.
- Keep accurate notes, payment updates, and next steps for every account.
- Escalate stalled accounts and recommend clear next actions.
What You Bring
- Prior restoration collections experience required.
- An understanding of insurance-funded restoration work, deductibles, and customer payment responsibilities.
- A track record of collecting overdue balances and resolving difficult accounts.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- The ability to be firm, professional, and respectful in challenging conversations.
- Strong organization and consistent follow-through.
- Experience with JobNimbus or similar systems is a plus.
