The Role
This role manages the Compliance obligations and associated policies for our MiCA-licensed CASP, with responsibility for regulatory reporting including monthly CMP Reports, CySEC notifications, and Board/Senior Management reporting on key risk indicators.
The role further involves designing and delivering compliance training, advising internal stakeholders on MiCA and AML matters, and tracking regulatory change. It supports governance activities such as fit & proper assessments and liaison with external auditors/advisors, contributes to the broader Compliance Department, and drives proactive improvements that reduce risk while supporting business growth.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Maintain the Compliance Obligations Register (MiCA authorisation conditions, CySEC circulars/directives, AML/CFT incl. Transfer of Funds Regulation, DORA, EU/national crypto-asset law)

- Prepare Senior Management and Board reports, including CASP-specific risk indicators (custody exposure, market abuse alerts, ICT incidents)
- Support market abuse surveillance under MiCA (insider dealing, manipulation, unlawful disclosure), including escalation and reporting to CySEC
- Support complaint handling and oversight of client asset safeguarding
- Review marketing communications against MiCA and CySEC guidance
- Manage compliance incidents and breaches end to end, including ICT incidents in coordination with the DORA framework
- Identify and manage conduct, market abuse, custody and third-party risks with stakeholders, and support oversight of outsourcing and critical third parties (custody providers, exchanges, cloud) under MiCA and DORA
- Deliver a training calendar for staff and the Board and keep attendance records
- Advise stakeholders on MiCA, AML/CFT, market abuse and data protection, and resolve compliance queries and client complaints from the business
- Track regulatory change (MiCA RTS/ITS, ESMA/EBA guidelines, CySEC circulars) and support implementation
- Contribute to the regional and group Compliance team, ensuring consistent MiCA standards across passported jurisdictions, and support the Compliance Manager and wider department
- Support fit & proper and governance monitoring for the management body, and work with external auditors, advisors and MiCA legal counsel
- Drive proactive improvements that reduce risk and raise standards (custody, market abuse surveillance, operational resilience) while supporting growth, and ensure MiCA obligations are well understood across the business
About you
- Degree in Law, Finance, Economics, or related field, with Professional compliance qualifications preferred (e.g. ICA, CAMS, CySEC Advanced Certificate)
