About the role
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Developer Educator based in the United States.
We are looking for an experienced and creative Senior Developer Educator to shape how developers understand and engage with complex technologies, including networking, infrastructure, distributed systems, and AI. In this role, you will transform sophisticated technical concepts into compelling educational experiences that capture attention and build lasting credibility within the developer community. You will combine exceptional writing skills with hands-on technical expertise to create impactful content across multiple formats, from in-depth technical articles and interactive experiences to videos, demos, and open-source projects. Working closely with content, product, and engineering teams, you will identify meaningful stories and turn them into engaging resources that developers genuinely value. You will have the creative freedom to experiment with formats, explore emerging technologies, and establish a distinctive technical voice. This is an opportunity to influence how developers perceive and use modern developer infrastructure while contributing to a high-quality, collaborative, and innovation-driven environment.
Accountabilities
-
Create high-impact technical content: Develop distinctive, insightful, and technically accurate educational content that strengthens brand recognition and positions the organization as an authority in networking, infrastructure, and AI.
-
Transform complex concepts into accessible experiences: Translate challenging technical subjects into engaging resources, including long-form articles, interactive web experiences, videos, CLI demonstrations, technical tutorials, and open-source projects.
-
Select the right content formats: Experiment with different creative approaches and choose the most effective medium to communicate each idea and deliver meaningful value to developers.
-
Collaborate with cross-functional teams: Work closely with content, product, and engineering professionals to identify valuable technical insights and transform product knowledge into compelling educational experiences.
-
Shape technical storytelling: Contribute to the development of distinctive messaging, educational strategies, and a recognizable voice within the developer tools ecosystem.
-
Stay connected to developer communities: Monitor technical discussions, industry trends, developer platforms, newsletters, and online communities to understand how developers discover, evaluate, and adopt new technologies.
-
Build technical authority: Create educational resources that help developers better understand networking, infrastructure, AI, and related technologies while establishing credibility and trust.
-
Participate in constructive feedback: Give and receive thoughtful editorial and technical feedback, continuously improving content quality and maintaining high standards.
-
Explore emerging technologies: Investigate AI tools, LLMs, AI agents, and evolving developer workflows to identify new educational opportunities and demonstrate practical applications.
-
Prioritize quality and impact: Focus on original, useful, and memorable work rather than content volume, generic thought leadership, or search-engine-driven publishing.
-
Extensive experience in technical writing, developer education, developer advocacy, or a closely related role, supported by a strong portfolio of original work.
-
Exceptional writing and storytelling abilities, with a genuine passion for language, editorial quality, and communicating complex technical ideas clearly.
-
Strong technical knowledge of AI/ML, networking, infrastructure, distributed systems, or related engineering disciplines, combined with the curiosity to learn unfamiliar technologies.
-
Experience as a full-stack or backend developer, or professional exposure to infrastructure, DevOps, platform engineering, or AI development.
-
Hands-on experience building and experimenting with software, developer tools, or technical projects, rather than relying exclusively on theoretical knowledge.
-
Ability to create content across multiple formats, including technical articles, tutorials, videos, interactive experiences, demonstrations, presentations, and open-source projects.
-
Proven experience collaborating directly with product and engineering teams to extract technical insights and translate them into valuable developer-facing content.
-
Familiarity with AI agents and LLM-based applications, including practical experience building with these technologies and understanding their strengths and limitations.
-
Strong awareness of the developer tools ecosystem, including competitors, industry conversations, technical communities, and emerging content trends.
-
Familiarity with platforms such as Hacker News, X, Bluesky, and relevant developer newsletters and online communities.
-
Excellent communication, collaboration, and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to provide and receive constructive feedback.
-
A high level of independence, creativity, initiative, and attention to detail, combined with the ability to manage projects over longer timelines.
-
Strong editorial judgment and a commitment to publishing original, technically credible, and genuinely useful educational content.
-
An active developer account with experience using modern tunneling or developer infrastructure tools is an advantage.
-
