Purpose
As the Location Leader, Responsible for end-to-end performance across safety, finance, people, projects, and growth of particular location in the guidance deputy Operations (India). Location leader will translate Worley’s India strategy into local execution, ensuring operational discipline, commercial rigor, and cultural leadership that drives sustainable results.

The Role

As a Senior Director, Operations with Worley, you will work closely with our existing team to deliver projects for our clients while continuing to develop your skills and experience etc.

• Strategic Leadership & Growth

  • Develop and execute the Location’s Strategy Execution Plan (SEP), aligned to India (Regional) & India SEPs.

  • Identify and qualify market opportunities; partner with BD to condition the market, customer and deal (Opening/Middle/End Game).

  • Serve as primary voice into regional forums, providing on-the-ground insights.

• Assurance & Change Management

  • Embed assurance controls (ISO-certified Management System, BPMs) and lead structured change using the “Start with Why” model.

  • Complete biannual management declarations and drive continuous improvement in HSSE and process compliance.

• Financial Management & Reporting

  • Hold full P&L accountability for the office : Help Deputy India Leader for budgeting (annual & rolling forecasts), QBRs, monthly reviews, and cash forecasts.

  • Ensure robust controls for reconciliations (per Record to Report Standard MS-AT-STD-0021), DSO/WIP optimization, revenue recognition (IFRS 15 framework), provisioning (MS-AP-STD-0016

• People & Culture

  • Champion Worley’s cultural “thumbprint” and critical behaviors (“Engineering First,” “Advance Best Ideas,” “Be WorleyStrong”).

  • Drive talent development via ION 4.0, graduate/leadership programs, and global referral policy.

  • Foster wellbeing and recognition through Appreciate, EAP, and holistic support programs.

  • Build leadership capability with coaching, performance management, and continuous learning ecosystems.

• Flawless Delivery

  • Oversee project governance: ensure handovers (MS-EZ-CHK-0004), Weekly Project Reviews (WPRs), risk classifications, and assurance plans (MS-IN-TEM-0027).

  • Maintain compliance with the Management System’s four pillars (win, execute, support, run).

  • Leverage the Knowledge System—technical standards, lessons learned—for continuous improvement.

• Digital & Data Enablement

  • Partner with I&DD to secure cyber-resilience, optimize applications/infrastructure, and drive data & AI initiatives.

  • Identify and sponsor automation and digital pilots; manage vendor SLAs and cloud/hosting services.

  • Embed digital performance metrics and use Power BI/dashboards for decision support.

• Risk, Compliance & Legal

  • Implement ISO 31000-aligned risk management: identify, assess, treat risks, and monitor KRIs.
